BBS win Project of the Year for second year running

Friday 19th November 2021

Our DartfordValley Rugby Club project continues its fantastic run of success, having been selected as one of 3 finalists for the prestigious Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce 'Construction Project of the Year 2020/21', we were delighted to be announced as the overall WINNER for the category at last nights award ceremony held at Westenhanger Castle near Hythe.

The award was made even more special as it followed in the footsteps of the award winning Hush Heath Winery, meaning that BBS successfully retained the title for the second year in a row!

The category this year was a tough one, yet despite this, we successfully fought off stiff competition from the two much bigger finalists also hoping to win, BAM and Jenner, to bring home the CONSTRUCTION PROJECT OF THE YEAR award again.

It was a true honour to be able to have collected this award on behalf of everyone involved in the Dartford Valley Rugby Club project which has allowed the club to go from strength to strength and successfully embed itself into the local community as a much needed hub providing not only excellent rugby opportunities, but a facility for children and adults of all ages to enjoy, offering after school clubs, anti-natal classes, OAP meets, financial and legal advice clinics and much more, not to mention employment and training opportunities. A very worthy winner!!!
