The Ship Inn, Rye

The project comprised of the full refurbishment of the Grade II Listed popular Ship Inn, located in Rye. Works included refurbishment to the bar and restaurant area, kitchen and servery, male and female WC’s, store rooms, breakfast/function room and 11 guest bedrooms.

The full scope of works included mechanical & electrical services, new sanitary ware, enabling of new commercial kitchen, decoration throughout, joinery refurbishments to bar and breakfast areas and decoration of other public areas.

In order to minimise the impact from the build on the commercial running of the business, The Ship Inn’s bar was only shut for two weeks whilst kitchen refurbished and ground floor works completed. The project was undertaken in phases so that at the client’s request, a number of bedrooms were ready in time for Valentine’s Day bookings. The remaining areas were refurbished whilst the pub’s bar, restaurant and a number of bedrooms were in constant occupation.
