Tuesday 14th September 2021

BBS's sister company, Westerhill Homes, was Presenting Partner for this summer's Elmer Maidstone Trail, proudly supported by the rest of Chartway Group.

The Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade has now come to an end and is being hailed a tremendous success for all involved.

The grand auction of all the large Elmers on the 9th September raised an amazing £312,750 For Heart of Kent Hospice

Our own Elmers raised:

  • Where’s Elmer £6,250
  • Heard Across The County’ £5,500
  • Zebrelmer’ £5,000

A fantastic total of £16,750

The 30 schools baby elephants are all going back to their schools, we think they will be loved by all the children and will enjoy their new homes!

The official stats from the marketing team at Heart of Kent Hospice show the sheer scale of the trail's success, with

  • Over 4,000 people coming to see the Elmers at the Farewell Weekend
  • 10,372 people signed up to the Parade app
  • 383,548 sculptures were unlocked on the app
  • 216,019 rewards were collected on the app and
  • 19,302 miles were walked (if people enabled the activity tracker).

BBS is proud to have supported Westerhill Homes and the Heart of Kent Hospice throughout the early organisation stages of the trail, during the summer when the elephants were on parade and we will continue to support the hospice in the future.
