This summer is so far proving to be one of the sunniest summers that many of us remember – with this in mind, we’re very aware that keeping our staff members hydrated will aid them to perform at their very best throughout the work day. As a result, we decided to invest in watercoolers from AquAid for our construction sites.
Our unique relationship with AquAid has also given BBS Construction the opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves, because with each purchase, an automatic donation is made to the Africa Trust. These funds are used to build ‘Elephant Pumps’ – a modified version of an age old Chinese rope pulley system, providing a much needed source of clean and fresh drinking water for many.
For every bottle of water that we purchase for our sites, a 30p donation is made to the Africa Trust along with a £20 per annum donation for every mains-fed water cooler installed.
Through support and a shared belief in making the world a better place, AquAid has to date donated in excess of £12 million and helped bring a life-time supply of clean, fresh drinking water to more than 2 million people.
