BBS shortlisted for NFB annual awards

Wednesday 13th March 2019

We are delighted to announce that we have officially been shortlisted for Site of the Year award, due to be announced in April.

The NFB Awards 2019 will celebrate the high quality work and commitment delivered by NFB members and non-members, across England and Wales. The awards reflect the dynamic nature of the construction industry and the excellent standards that have been achieved.

Director, Geoff Slee of BBS Construction Ltd said: “We are very proud to have been shortlisted for this award. This brings the Hush Heath Winery building’s award shortlist to five nominations – a fantastic testament to not only the innovative design of the building, but for the whole construction team involved in the project.”

“The new winery building is not only sustainable and sympathetic to its surroundings, but it has also created employment and training opportunities and has really put Kent on the map for wine production and tourism. We are all very proud of the success of this project and our ongoing relationship with the client.”

The awards scheme closed for entry on 15 February 2019 and was followed by a stringent selection process.

Richard Beresford, chief executive of the NFB, said: “This year, we received a record amount of entries and the process of creating a shortlist has been tough and involved much deliberation. Our panel of expert judges usually aim to select a maximum of three finalists for each category, but in some cases they felt that the calibre of submissions was so high that more ought to be recognised for their excellence. However, on the night, there can only be one winner for each of the awards.”

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 4 April 2019 at The Belfry Hotel and Resort, Lichfield Road, Sutton Coldfield, B76 9PR. To find out more about the NFB awards programme, book your tickets and to see who has been shortlisted click here: www.builders.org.uk/events/nfb-awards-2019/
