BBS shortlisted for Construction Project of the Year

Tuesday 18th February 2020

We are delighted to announce that our new rugby club project has been shortlisted for 'Construction Project of the Year'.

Having won this prestigious award in 2019 for our Hush Heath Winery building, it has been an honour to have been shortlisted again this year with our recently completed Dartford Valley Rugby Football Club (DVRFC).

This stunning new building owned by Dartford Borough Council and home to DVRFC, is so much more than 'just a rugby club'. It has regenerated a piece of waste land, creating a new community hub, providing not just sporting facilities, but is now also home to community projects and groups such as after school clubs, financial advice drop in clinics, new mothers groups, coffee meets and cinema mornings for the elderly and so much more!

The project has opened up training opportunities both via the club and during construction. It offered 14 apprentices the opportunity to gain valuable experience during its complex build and has allowed for several work experience and shadowing opportunities.

DVRFC continue to work closely with the community and have forged strong links with the local school and continue to invest into further projects to improve residents lives.
