BBS's sister company, Westerhill Homes donate to the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust with each home sold.

Each time a Westerhill Homes customer moves into their new home, they receive a thank you in the form of a £100 donation made to the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust, helping to save more lives across three counties.

A target of £7,500 has been set by Westerhill Homes, who recently presented the Trust with a cheque for £5, 330.83 which included donations from house sales plus fundraising by the staff.

In addition to this, across the Group including at BBS Construction, there are various fundraising efforts on a monthly basis to raise money for this valuable charity.

Westerhill Homes Sales & Marketing Director, Jo Richards says ‘We are all only to aware that we never know when we will need the help of the air ambulance. At Westerhill Homes we are proud to support the fantastic service which the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance provides and by donating each time we sell a home, we know we will be able to continue doing so. We hope our customers will never need to use an air ambulance, but knowing that we are donating is a very special extra present on the moving-in day, and they are always very appreciative of this gesture’.

The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust is an independent charity and last year were called out to help with 2,000 life-threatening conditions. Their base is at Rochester airport with the helicopters and crews flying from Redhill Aerodrome.

Julie Clare, Head of Corporate Relations, the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust “the support from local businesses is truly valued and the partnership we have with Chartway Group is a great example of this, without which we wouldn’t be able to operate as we do.  It costs more than £11million each year to fund our life-saving work and every pound raised makes a difference. Thanks to the team at Westerhill Homes, the £7,500 could fund approximately 65 units of blood used to treat life threatening injuries at the scene and on the way to hospital”.

Westerhill Homes are selling new homes across Kent, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes at Linden Meadows, Coxheath, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes at Evabourne, Peters Village, Wouldham, 2,3,4 & 5 bedroom homes at Victoria Quarter and Conningbrook Lakes in Ashford and the latest in their portfolio of developments the recently launched Kings Oak Park in Headcorn.  Each home has the Westerhill Homes signature quality specification included with flooring, appliances and turf to rear gardens.
