Balfour Centre, OurZone

Our Zone, situated within the Balfour Centre in Rochester, is an essential service for over 18’s who have physical or long-term health conditions. Visitors are able to take part in different activities, learn different skills and socialise with different people.

This well-used centre required a full refurbishment to bring it up to current NHS standards and provide a functional, friendly and safe building for both visitors and staff.

The refurbishment works included the complete reconfiguration and redecoration in order to bring all of the facilities up to current healthcare standards.

Within the works, we were also to provide a new catering facility, treatment rooms, hairdressers, quiet rooms, DDA/EA wet-rooms, in addition to the main communal lounges and activity rooms.

Externally, we were to provide a fully accessible sensory garden and new pond area.
